Visionary Leadership
This program is based on both history and the classic Herman Melville novel, Moby Dick. It depicts the risky world of the whaling industry and brings to life the experiences of the 19th century seaman, offering keen insights for the fast-changing world of business today.
Using the book and movie versions of this classic tale, the three-day leadership workshop is conducted in Mystic, CT. The program includes tours of the unique facilities of Mystic Seaport, a living museum of America’s maritime history. There you can immerse yourself in the lore and beauty of a fully restored New England fishing village and tour America’s last original wooden whaling ship, the Charles W. Morgan (built in 1841).
This is a tactical, hands-on program in its scope and is appropriate for all levels of managers in your organization.
As part of this workshop, participants are introduced to the traditions of sea music, through presentations by music historians, the Mystic Seaport Forebitter. For information on recordings by this unique group, or for bookings, contact rspencer02@snet.net or forebitter@mysticseaport.org.
